- Statistics, data and technical specifications;
- Quotes and statements attributed to people or organisations.
3. Our Fact-Checking Process
- Primary sources first: we verify information against official websites, government notifications and portals, official app listings, developer documentation and company announcements.
- Hands-on testing: wherever practical, we test apps, tools and online procedures ourselves and capture our own screenshots.
- Cross-checking: important claims are confirmed with at least two reliable sources when no single official source is available.
- Link checking: links, especially to government and download pages, are checked to make sure they point to official and safe destinations.
- Editorial review: an editor reviews the article before publication and questions any claim that is not clearly supported.
4. Sources We Trust
We prefer, in order: official government and regulatory sources; official company or developer sources; peer-reviewed or recognised research; established, reputable news organisations. We avoid relying on social-media rumours, forums or anonymous sources for factual claims.
5. Handling Unverified or Changing Information
For news that is still developing (for example, expected launch dates or rumoured features), we clearly label information as “expected”, “reported” or “unconfirmed” and update the article when official details are available.
6. Ongoing Reviews
We periodically re-check published articles — especially guides to government services and app features — and update them when procedures, prices or interfaces change.
7. Reporting an Error
